UTS900
Universal Transport System
The UTS900 accelerates the migration to packet-based Ethernet services by enabling access over the existing circuit-based copper TDM infrastructure. By bonding individual T1s or E1s into a single virtual transport pipe sized exactly for bandwidth needed, the UTS900 delivers Ethernet services faster than and at a fraction of the cost of new fiber overlays.
Because it includes support for the full enterprise service bundle—TDM-based voice or Frame Relay as well as Ethernet services—the UTS900 allows both service provider and enterprise to migrate to next-generation services without concerns about transport infrastructure.
The UTS900 works in conjunction with the UTX8212 to offer an integrated solution for wide-area, point-to-multipoint Ethernet service deployments
Key Product Features:
Deliver Ethernet over TDM network
- Ubiquitous T1/E1 circuits enable Ethernet delivery to any location
- Migrate services from circuit-based to packet-based
Point-to-Multipoint or point-to-point
- Deliver Ethernet and TDM services to UTX8212 for aggregation
- Bond existing private line circuits for point-to-point Ethernet
Standards-based circuit bonding
- VCAT, GFP & LCAS
- Create exact bandwidth needed between sites
VLAN-based prioritization
- Three levels available for voice and data
- Allows prioritization between service types
Service manageability
- Utilizes TDM network’s inherent OAM&P for Ethernet services
